Job Description

The Project Manager shall be responsible for providing superior leadership and management for the project in accordance with the policies and procedures adopted by the Company.  The PM shall foster an environment of cooperation and support to enable employees to perform to their maximum potential. 

Main Duties

  • Estimating, in conjunction with the Division Manager, to execute projects in accordance with Corporate Policy. 
  • Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships to enhance competitiveness in the industry and promote good customer relationships.
  • Monitor project budget estimates.
  • Plan and prepare schedules and milestones and monior progress against established schedules.
  • To oversee the growth and delivery of the company's transmission and distribution operations of the company in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Key activities include business development, estimating, material management, subcontractor relationships, production and general supervision.
  • Oversee contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs.
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
  • Supervise the activities of subcontractors.
  • Strong emphasis placed on safety.
  • Perform sales calls and visits to potential and existing accounts to generate business.
  • Review work/contracts/WIP for areas of risk and correct deficiencies.

Desired Skills & Experience

Employment Requirements 

  • A university degree in engineering or construction management is preferred.
  • Project management experience with a strong professional reputation in the Utah market.
  • Available to travel as necessary to meet the demands of the position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, displaying superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
