Position Summary
Reporting to the Regional Vice President, this exciting opportunity will work within our Ottawa regional office and support all human resource functions in the region including, but not limited to, full-cycle recruitment, pension and benefit administration, policy and employee relation guidance, survey management, and off-boarding​.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          ​
​Duties & Responsibilities
• Workforce planning and full cycle recruitment including  screening, interviews, reference checks, and employment letters
• Provide new hire orientation and onboarding for new employees
• Administer annual employee engagement survey including focus groups and action plans 
• Maintain and update manual and computerized filing and registration systems, including related data entry
• Policy implementation and guidance for managers
• Support managers and supervisors with guidance, assistance and direction on employee relations
• Create and maintain training and career development plans
• Monitor and ensure compliance with Company HR initiatives and processes
• Administer benefits, pension and employee and family assistance programs
• Manage short-term absences and liaison with group insurance provider for LTD as required  
• Ensure complete confidentiality of all information
• Follow up and assist with implementation of performance management toolkit and components
• Other related duties as required

Education & Skill Requirements
• A related undergraduate degree or diploma/certificate such as Human Resource Management; Business Administration; Commerce; Industrial Relations 
• Preferably 2‐4 years of experience working within the Human Resources field
• Experience with an HRIS and ATS are considered an asset
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
• Some travel is required in this position
