Job Description

Summary of Position

Reporting to the Division Manager, the Junior Project Coordinator will assist the Project Team and participate in the analysis of costs and prepare estimates on mechanical, electrical, plumbing projects. In addition, provide technical and administrative support to project operations with emphasis on estimating, reporting, planning, scheduling, QA and commissioning.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with estimates, take offs and interpret drawings
  • Assist with making sales calls and visits to potential and existing accounts to generate business
  • Assist with purchasing material and equipment for secured jobs
  • Coordinate various small projects
  • Travel to various sites or clients
  • Assist with close out documents (manuals, shop drawings, warranty letters etc.​)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Division Manager

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Completion or current enrollment of a post secondary program in a related field (mechanical/electrical engineering, skilled trade, energy/sustainability, project management, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of the industry
  • Understanding of project forecasting and projections
  • Proficient with recognized estimating software, as well as working knowledge of word processing, excel spreadsheets, and email software 
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Ability to read drawings and project/structural design interpretation
