Job Description

​Reporting to the Division Manager, the Asset Lifecycle Manager will lead the assessment, reporting, and consulting for building condition and lifecycle initiatives for Kelowna & Vernon Hospitals Project (KVHP).  At all times the Asset Lifecycle Manager will maintain excellent relationships with B&M Regional Staff, Project Co and Authority Partners, Client, Trades and Subcontractors.  The successful candidate will keep the KVHP Management Team informed of status, discrepancies, risks, and any other issues which would impact the current KVHP contract business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct and/or lead teams to perform building condition assessments on a wide range of building types and building equipment
  • Data entry, collection and interpretation from various sources
  • Apply industry standard cost estimates and end of life standards
  • Calculate long term budget estimates for capital replacements based on condition and useful life
  • Identify and update site specific information to ensure ERP asset registry integrity
  • Produce and submit meaningful reports to the client in evaluation of asset condition and lifecycle planning
  • Plan, in conjunction with the site manager, the execution of projects in accordance with Corporate Policy 
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
  • Assist the site managers with planning and scheduling of capital replacements projects
  • Keep current with related industry standards, laws, and energy/environmental initiatives related to asset replacement
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills & Experience
  • ​Minimum of 5 years of similar work experience
  • Knowledge of building assets including architectural, civil, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Strong data-analyst skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Must be able to speak, read & write in English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Exceptional Computer skills with indepth knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and others as required.
  • Experience with JDE (Oracle JDEdwards) or a large ERP systems is an asset
  • Experience in ASHREA standards is an asset
  • Experience in RS Means is an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills
