Job Description

​​The successful individual will be responsible for performing day-to-day activities on a variety of assigned service work. This person should possess strong leadership skills, formal training and current employment experience that provide the ability to handle all challenges that occur on a daily basis in the service environment.

  • Install, repair, and maintain DDC equipment as part of the broader Black & McDonald service offering
  • Prepare all necessary paperwork, i.e. timesheets, service reports, etc. and ensure timely submission for billing purposes
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with clients
  • Assist in preparation of job estimates and proposal submissions
  • Support our DDC group with developing sequences of operation logic and controller programming
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications 
  • Requisition materials and supplies, as required
  • Ensure safe working conditions are enforced and strictly adhered to in accordance to company policy
Desired Skills & Experience
  • ​Commercial controls experience
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and associated DDC controls strategies would be an asset
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of specific controls systems would be an asset (Johnson Controls, Distech)
  • A team player, committed to working in a quality environment
  • Must obtain security clearance
