Position Summary

Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Subcontract Coordinator located in Scarborough.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review information provided by and, to the extent necessary, work with operations to obtain information required to draft subcontract agreements
  • Coordinate execution of subcontracts both internally and externally
  • Discuss any subcontractor comments to B&M standard forms with in-house counsel
  • Management of database of current insurance certificates from subcontractors
  • Ensure legal page on sharepoint site is updated
  • Contract filing system is kept in an organized and centralized manner
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients
  • Manage a high volume of paper with great accuracy and organization
  • Assist lawyers with administrative duties as required

     

Desired Skills & Experience

Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a post secondary legal assistant/administrative assistant law clerk program or equivalent considered an asset
  • Construction Industry experience considered an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint and Adobe) required
  • Professional manner with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and with the ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Bi-lingual is considered an asset
