Position Summary

To assist in the management of the tool room system in an efficient and effective manner in order to meet the requirements of operations and to manage costs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receives, checks and oversees the unloading of packages from trucks and other conveyances
  • Validates and logs packages electronically or manually
  • Sorts packages for distribution to user departments and/or pick-up by others
  • Delivers packages for assigned floor/area designate(s)
  • Assist with the maintenance of the tool room system
  • Picking and shipping of tools
  • Receive Orders and materials from internal and external vendors/clients
  • Tool repairs and Safety Checks
  • Assists with the duties relating to Yard Maintenance
  • Assits with the safe storage of materials
  • Back up Driver

Desired Skills & Experience

Education & Skill Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of small tools
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a toolroom/storage facility
  • Must possess and maintain a valid G drivers licence and maintain a clear drivers abstract
  • Must obtain and maintain a clear background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to push/pull lift upto 50lbs
  • Vehicle travel is required between various sites in the Province of Ontario.
