Job Description

​Position Summary

Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking  an Administrative Assistant located in Ottawa, Ontario. We offer a competitive pension and benefit along with a comprehensive training.                                                                                                                                                                         

Responsibilities:

  • Coding and reconciling payments to JDE.
  • Accurate invoicing of customers; therefore reducing the number of complaints from customers regarding billing errors.
  • Preparing of documentation to assist Accounts Receivable/Payable (eg. Invoices, Purchase Orders) etc.
  • Timely review, printing and delivery of invoices
  • A/R management and collections activities
  • Assist the Manager in Planning & Scheduling
  • Assist with Material/Equipment Procurement
  • Manage JDE Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Handle customer calls in a polite and efficient manner
  • Documentation control – photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing
  • Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience

​Education & Skill Requirements

  • Post secondary education in a related field
  • 1-3 years experience in accounting and or relevant financial management experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical skills in Excel and Word
  • Demonstrates a commitment to providing excellent client service, by building and maintaining productive relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direction
