Job Description

Summary of Position:

 

The QA Coordinator/ Event Report Coordinator reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and prepares statistical data, information, records & reports to support the implementation and reporting of the company's corrective action process. The QA Coordinator/ Event Report Coordinator assist QA and other departments with the preparation for the audit readiness.

                                                                                                                                                                                                

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identifies all Event Reports which have not been reviewed at Management Review Meeting (MRM), and completes the following:
    1. Reviews Event Report for quality and clarity, and edits as required
    2. Recommends Significance Level (Low, Medium, High) and identifies in Black and McDonald Reporting (BMR)
    3. Recommends whether a Corrective Action Review Board (CARB) review of the report and follow-up actions should be completed and identifies in BMR as appropriate
    4. Recommends an Evaluating Organization, by selecting from the BMR drop down menu.
  • Presents new Event Reports, Immediate Actions Taken, and recommendations regarding Significance Level and CARB review
  • Following MRM review updates the Event Report as required in BMR and marks the MRM complete.
  • Assist QA department to monitor and ensure the effective implementation of company's quality program.
  • Train, mentor, & assist document control personnel to implement the document control    requirements of the company's quality program.
  • Report on the effectiveness of the company's document control process.
  • Prepare & gather information, records, & reports for internal and external customers.
  • Participate in internal &external audits
  • Assists in the preparation of procedures, instructions, manuals, and policies.
  • Assists in the maintenance of the company's approved supplier's list.
  • Maintains database of training and qualifications for Inspection and Test personnel
  • Participates in roots cause /common cause investigations as requested
  • Maintains the SharePoint library and other databases.
  • Encourage, identify and participate in continual improvement process.
  • Other duties as assigned by the QA Director.
Desired Skills & Experience

Education & Skill Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Quality Assurance/Regulatory Assurance field.
  • Graduate of a post-secondary school .
  • Demonstrated knowledge of  ISO 9001, CSA Z299 & CSA N286 Quality Systems.
  • Prior experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a high pressure production support environment and make informed real-time decisions based on business priorities and implications
  • Skills/Abilities required; Organizing Information, Analyzing Information , Technical Understanding, Promoting Process Improvement, Problem Solving, Process Improvement
